Did anyone catch "Dexter" last night.

It's this new show that stars a Forensic Investigator (a la CSI) but this guy is also a serial killer. Which helps in his day job of catching criminals.

I Tivo'd last night and will watch today but was wondering if anyone caught it and what their opinions are of the show.

I know this is thread is way old, but I just started watching this show today. I was bored and it looked interesting, little did I know I would like it so much, haha. I watched 7 episodes in a row on Showtime demand, and plan on catching the 8th episode tonight. The main character, has this personality that you can relate to, but at the same time he just creeps you out. The show is definitely unique and I completely recommend it.

Incredible show! I suggest reading the book for further enjoyment. Obviously it says during the opening credits "based on the book" meaning the show does not follow the book much. But the show has taken an interesting route for the Ice Truck killer. The book explains why the ice truck killer has such a personal relationship with Dexter.
Other note: The show has been renewed for a 2nd season.

I just finished watching the 8th episode. It definitely revealed quite a lot. I was thinkin about getting the book when the season was over. I just love the story and the way its presented.

Been watching this one myself. I missed the first 4 or so episodes but I'll catch up with On Demand. It's a pretty good show so far although the production doesn't always seem up to snuff but maybe that's because I'm an HBO whore. The opening credits are fucking awesome. Anyway I'm liking the show so far except for Dexter's sister. She annoys the ever-loving shit out of me.

My wife and I really enjoyed the 1st season, and have started to Tivo the 2nd.

We were big fans of Six Feet Under too so once that ended and we saw Michael C. Hall was in it we decided to give it a try. I hope "Nate"s new show is as good.

It's not like anything else on TV right now.

This is an old thread but they did start up a new season. Anyone else watching it this season. It just started and it is just as good as the first.
I didn't think they could do much with it this season because of how the first season ended. But so far they are doing a good job.

The Dexter books are amazing. I don't know about the show, but i am gonna buy the first season to check it out.

They made quite a few changes from the book to make it able to have a second season. But it's a good watch regardless.

Amazing show! Showtime is really on a role with their shows lately. They are getting better and better while I think HBO is slowly declining. Not saying HBO isnt good, BUT Dexter, Weeds, Californication, and the brotherhood = Awesome!!!!!

Is everybody else loving this season like me! I was loving it when Dexter kept talking about seeing his true monster. Very creepy but awesome. Next week will be so intense!
