My headset has just given up. I can hear people, but they can't hear me (I know, I know...they're lucky :))
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone uses one of these:

It's cheaper than the MS one and given how flimsy the official ones are, I'm loathed to buy another.
I'd appreciate opinions if anyone has used one. Cheers :drunk

If you have a soldering iron you could just use any headset you wish and solder it onto the original 360 plug-in.
It works great if you don't really want to spend money until the wireless comes out. -cough-

I agree with the others on here and say you should just wait for the wireless headset. It is supposed to come out in November for $59.99.

I was having a similar problem with being able to hear but not speak. I found out it was either a 360 problem or a network issue. Turning off the 360 and turning it back on fixed it temporarily, but it'd go out again after awhile. This was only a problem with the 360 dashboard since my headset worked perfectly in all games thus far. If it's a repetitive issue or doesn't work at all then yeah, blame the headset, but if you can test it on a friend's 360 first do it. Does anyone else think the dashboard has more glitches and freeze ups than any game released yet?
BTW, I haven't had any problems since putting my 360 in my router's DMZ. Do they go hand in hand, I don't know.
