Introduction:
Welcome to Blur, Bizarre Creations latest racing game. You will be blasting your opponents with Power-ups and drifting around corners like never before. From racing Audi's famous R8 to Chevy's all new Camaro SS. You will have a huge arsenal of vehicles to choose from to rule the road.
Breakdown:
The best way to go through the single player portion is by playing as stated below. If you want to do it all in one playtrough, then set your difficulty to hard. While playing on hard, if you have any trouble beating a certain race, choose a easier difficulty and complete it. If you are ever unsure of your progress for any achievement, go to the stickers section and it will give you a detailed overview of what else you need to complete for any specific achievement.
Some achievements progression can be worked on in Single Player and Multiplayer. Those are listed below:
Sharp Shooter, Outta my way!, Furiously fast, Shocking, It's a trap!, Medic!, You can't touch this, Incoming!
Career: Single Player
Step 1- Playtrough on easy and getting all lights.
You will want to start on easy and just play through the single player. Earn as many lights as possible. If you are having trouble with a certain race, continue on and come back later once you have unlocked some better and faster car(s). You want to come in first on all races, complete all Fan Runs, and complete all Fan Targets. There are a total of 450 lights to be earned in the entire career.
Step 2 - Come in first on all races on Hard difficulty
Once you have completed all the races and earned all 450 Primary and Secondary Lights. Play through each race on Hard and come in first place. You don't need to redo the Fan Targets and Fan Runs again on hard. Only coming in first on each race and meeting the required time and score in the other events. This won't come easy as some events will take a lot of patience and skill to complete.
If you're connected to Xbox Live you should also be able to get the following achievements:
- Socializer
- Friendly competition
- Friends make better enemies
Completing everything online will take you anywhere from 20-30 hours.
Online you will be going for the following achievements:
- Giant Killer
- Challenger
- All Rounder
- Paint Job
- Living legend?
- For your consideration
- Modder
- Photo Finish
- This time it's personal
- Motor Mash King
Clean up:
For this step you can finish any of the mastering achievements that you missed as well as the following misc achievements that you might not have yet:
- Speed Demon
- Tourist
- Haruna matata
- I must break you
There are more you can miss, however, it's not likely you will miss them.
Conclusion:
Blur is definitely an amazing racing game, by far the best for 2010. The achievement list is pretty straightforward and the stickers menu made keeping track of your progress a lot easier. Gunning for 1000 will take a while, around 50+ hours however will be a fun time spent if your into Mario Kart madness
